There will be no AQG activities until the Corona Virus scare is over and group meetings are permitted. The health of our members is a priority! Please stay home, sew and complete your unfinished projects and stay healthy!

There is normally some type of a meeting every Tuesday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Door opens at 9:30 am. Classes and Meetings begin promptly at 10:00 am, arrive early to set-up.
1st Tuesday -- General Meeting with carry-in lunch. Doors open at 9:00 for hostess set-up.
2nd Tuesday -- Block of the Month or Special Projects
3rd Tuesday -- Executive Board Meeting
4th Tuesday -- Lunch and Learn or Community Service
5th Tuesday -- Community Service
If Cobb county schools are closed due to weather, meeting are automatically cancelled.
Barbara Eikmeier, a Kansas quilter, will bring her program “Random Block Sampler, It’s Not Random” showing us ways to set our sampler blocks from various shops and programs. Maybe even our Row by Row blocks??
Suzi Parron, author of Barn Quilts and Following the Barn Quilt Trail will Zoom with us. You may order her books and a beautiful Barn Quilt Calendar for 2021 at her website http://www.barnquiltinfo.com/. Our workshop to paint wooden barn quilt squares is still on.
Patricia Belyea will join us live via Zoom from Seattle, Washington. She has the Japanese fabric shop Okan Arts and her program is “The Alluring World of Japanese Yukata Quilts.” She will also show us the 2020 Tokyo Quilt Festival.
Michelle Banton from www.LittlePupDesigns.com is scheduled to join us via Zoom from Lunenburg, Massachusetts. A former fabric rep and retreat leader, she has several interesting lectures on “Cotton to Consumer- the Journey of a Cotton Boll to Your Local Quilt Shop”, or the “Secrets of the International Quilt Market” or “If MacGyver was a Quilter.” Will let you know when we decide!
Rhonda Pierce from Schmetz Needles
Barbara Brackman is a quilter, quilt historian and author. Barbara has written numerous books on quilting during the Civil War including Facts & Fabrications: Unraveling the History of Quilts and Slavery
